RN Nurse, Operating Room Nurse, Surgical Assistant
The Center for Outpatient Surgery is seeking a dedicated and experienced Perioperative Nurse to join our outpatient surgery center team. This is a full-time position with a consistent four-day workweek, scheduled Monday through Friday, offering excellent work-life balance.
Position Overview:The Perioperative Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across the perioperative continuum, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative support, and postoperative recovery. The role requires close collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preoperative patient assessments and ensure readiness for surgery
- Provide intraoperative nursing support and maintain sterile technique
- Deliver postoperative care, monitor patient recovery, and manage discharge processes
- Document care accurately in the EMR in accordance with regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and accreditation requirements
Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-operative care
- Active RN license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Perioperative/Intensive/ ER experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Full-time schedule: 4 days per week (Monday-Friday)

Pay Range: $40-$50 an hour
the starting rate within this range for this role varies depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
