Overview
Assistant Store Managers partner closely with the Store Manager to develop team members, provide high-quality customer service, and align store operations with company goals.
Responsibilities- Partner with Store Manager to develop and engage team members and achieve budgeted revenue goals.
- Assist in employee selection, training, motivation, and performance management.
- Oversee day-to-day store operations: sales, visual merchandising, inventory management, store administration, and customer service.
- Handle opening/closing duties, secure assets, maintain security system, and serve as acting Store Manager when absent.
- Plan labor schedule, maintain store security, and support corporate initiatives.
- Stay current on industry trends and communicate insights to team members.
- Execute store strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, traffic, and profitability.
- Maintain inventory and coordinate with corporate stakeholders to meet market needs.
- Develop and motivate team members to create empowered and engaged teams.
- Ensure highest level of customer service and brand/product knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team, management, and stakeholders.
- Set plans and targets and entrust team members appropriately.
- Think critically, resolve problems, and approach challenges with agility.
- Identify industry trends and educate team on current market.
- Assist in execution of store strategies that enhance satisfaction, traffic, and profitability.
- Manage inventory and partner with corporate to meet market needs.
- 2–4 years minimum retail store management experience (preferred).
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Excellent communication skills to convey Deckers Brands vision and mission.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility of schedule and hours.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver’s license.

Salary$27.00 – the posted salary reflects the target for new hire salaries for this role at this specific store location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
