As a Welder Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing the company’s fleet and heavy equipment, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities- Repair and maintain roll off truck bodies, front end truck bodies, and heavy equipment.
- Perform welding repairs on grinders, screeners, conveyors, and crushers.
- Identify and correct equipment deficiencies by replacing, repairing, or adjusting components using welding and cutting equipment.
- Fabricate metal items as needed to support equipment maintenance and operations.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Keep an organized inventory of metal materials and welding supplies.
- Comply with all federal and state vehicle requirements related to equipment maintenance.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulations by participating in training and reading technical publications.
- Report directly to the Maintenance & Equipment Manager and collaborate with team members to support company goals.
- At least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid driver license.
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanic experience, preferably with heavy equipment or truck bodies.
- Proficient in operating welding and cutting tools required for equipment repairs.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting items over 20 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
