Starting Salary Range: $44,838 - $75,158 (based on years of experience and education)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ESL Teacher to support students whose primary language is not English. The ESL Teacher will develop and implement instruction that enables students to acquire English language proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while also supporting their academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction to English Language Learners using research-based strategies and materials.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Language Plans (ILPs) for ELL students as required.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support content-area instruction and differentiation for ELLs.
  • Monitor student progress and language acquisition through formal and informal assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and comply with district, state, and federal reporting requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and ways to support language development at home.
  • Participate in school-based professional development and ELL-related training.
  • Advocate for ELL students and promote cultural awareness and inclusivity in the school environment.
Minimum Qualifications:

Holds/maintains required Ohio Department of Education credentials.
Ability to develop and implement clear pathways to successfully achieve program objectives.
Acts according to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
Embraces high-performance standards (e.g., engagement, proficiency, resilience, etc.)
Maintains a record free of criminal violations that prohibit public school employment.
