JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Forklift Operator – Third Shift (10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. EST) – Tipp City, Ohio – Abbott Nutrition Division.
Location: United States – Tipp City, Ohio – Main/Liquid Plant
RESPONSIBILITIES- Receive, store, pick and dispense raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate timely and accurate flow of materials from warehouse inventory to work‑in‑process and production areas.
- Coordinate flow of finished products to support shipments to customers.
- Operate forklift to load and unload materials.
- Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Use the Cambar radio‑frequency inventory system to store, pick or assemble finished products for shipment.
- Utilize ship orders, warehouse paperwork and RF terminals for shipping/receiving finished products.
- Maintain proper FIFO flow of finished products (may include operation of a forklift truck with a push‑pull attachment).
- Store, pick or assemble raw materials in the warehouse, verifying commodity number, quantity, release status and lot number.
- Check materials against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills or other documentation to assure conformity and accuracy.
- Deliver materials to production lines in a timely manner and maintain proper FIFO flow of raw materials.
- Cleans up raw material and finished goods warehouse areas.
- Stage labels in mobile security carts for production lines.
- Complete label control portion of work orders.
- Maintain accurate records and reconcile inventory errors.
- Accountable for personal safety and adhere to safety guidelines; report safety and GMP concerns to Plant Material Control/Columbus Distribution Center leadership.
- Supply materials to lines or move product to and from dock areas to maintain efficient shipping and receiving operations.
- Comply with FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA and Abbott regulations, policies and procedures.
Hours:
10:00 pm – 7:00 am. Work 5 days per week on a 6‑week rotating schedule.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience operating sit‑down forklifts.
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 50 lbs.
- Completion of technical college computer operations courses.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals.
- Ability to make decisions based on awareness of area operations.
- Ability to deal with people under high pressure in a constantly changing environment.
- Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical troubleshooting skills.

COMPENSATIONBase pay: $15.80 – $31.60 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
