(PSG) — a Sunbelt Solomon company and a NETA-accredited service provider — is seeking a skilled Arc Flash Technician to join our growing team in the Tipp City or Columbus, Ohio area. This role blends hands‑on fieldwork, technical knowledge, and customer interaction — perfect for someone who enjoys variety and problem‑solving.
- Analyze commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Create accurate, hand-drawn one-line diagrams for engineering review
- Open and inspect energized electrical panels using proper PPE
- Identify and verify conductor sizes and components
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer safety personnel
- Ensure all work aligns with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and customer‑specific safety standards
- Produce clear, organized, and professional documentation and drawings
- 2+ years of industrial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret one-line and control diagrams
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA Arc Flash requirements
- Comfortable working in energized environments with proper PPE
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Strong organization, handwriting, and diagram-drawing abilities
- High school diploma or GED
- OSHA 10
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass background, drug, and reference checks
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight travel
- Solid computer skills (email, Microsoft Excel/Word, data entry)
- Associate degree in electrical technology or equivalent military training
- Completed electrical apprenticeship or Journeyman certification
- OSHA 30, advanced NFPA 70E training
