Job Overview

Purpose and Scope:
Scheduler/Planners are responsible for Maximo generated work activities and ensuring that all work performed is planned, estimated, scheduled, and documented accordingly per the PWS. They analyze, correct, and prioritize work to ensure validity and correctness of each work order, report deviations that affect metric driven performance, and obtain customer approvals before beginning or continuing work.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduling activities including documenting, providing status, tracking, and coordinating contractual obligations under the BOSS Contract.
  • Interact with customers to ensure completion of scheduled tasks and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure work documentation has been reviewed by prior entities before execution for proper coding, priority, and classification.
  • Coordinate access and monitor execution status to ensure status and backlog validity.
  • Document, and coordinate discrepancy resolution of weekly status and completion date reviews for area of responsibility.
  • Receive and review work packages from the Duty Office/WCC and Integrated Planner/Estimator for completeness, resolving questions or concerns as required.
  • Coordinate with shop supervisors to ensure manpower resources are available per weekly Resource Availability Matrix (RAM).
  • Coordinate scheduled start and finish dates with shops and Facility Managers to ensure work can be scheduled/executed without impacting facility operations.
  • Prepare, post and distribute daily/weekly schedules as required.
  • Generate periodic reports to track and report engineering, maintenance, and operations as required.
  • Set up and participate in pre-job meetings and walkdowns.
  • Perform other related or associated duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education/Certifications/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years related experience with operation and maintenance shop scheduling or execution, including:

  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Protective systems
  • Corrosion control
  • HVAC
  • Elevators
  • etc.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Associate's degree and/or trade license.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • General knowledge of office routines including scheduling, general office administration, and a working knowledge of standard computer software.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of AKWIRE and Microsoft Project.
Other Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain required clearances/badges as required by program and position.
  • Must communicate in English, both verbal and written, effectively.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands

This position involves typical office work with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting to 20 pounds; constant sitting with use of computer terminal; constant use of sight and speech/hearing abilities for communication; constant mental alertness; requires planning/organizing skills and ability to work under deadlines. Field work will consist primarily of site walk‑downs in support of design projects and system troubleshooting. Site hazard training and Personal Protective Equipment are provided.
