The Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) Directorate, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), is seeking to hire a lead Safety and Occupational Health Manager. You will provide direction to a team of Safety professionals that provide safety support for KSC across program areas including facility inspection, safety consultation, mishap investigation, emergency response, manufacturing safety, and contractor insight. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for the GS-14
, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
- Applying safety and occupational health concepts, principles, laws, and regulations used to resolve complex safety and health management issues;
- Interpreting and applying internal safety policies, procedural requirements, and federal compliance standards (such as OSHA);
- Directing and leading cross-functional teams to successfully deliver project goals and requirements on schedule.
