$16.75 hourly. North Area/Port St. John. Part-time / 2 hours daily (mornings and afternoons) on school days. Performs entry‑level protective service work ensuring the safe and orderly crossing of school‑age children at his/her assigned location.
REQUIREMENTSNo formal education, training, or experience is required. Experience as a crossing guard or other work with elementary school‑age children is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSMust be of good moral character as determined by a personal background investigation. Must be able to pass the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards prior to assuming School Crossing Guard duties. Must have a working home telephone or personal cell phone. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man‑made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
