Senior Systems Engineer to support the design, development, verification, and integration of complex aerospace and space systems, translating high level mission objectives into clear system architectures, interface control documents, and integration schedules. This role helps coordinate hardware, software, and test teams to ensure that every subsystem meets rigorous performance, safety, and reliability criteria while complying with all relevant regulations. The engineer is responsible for system level test planning and execution, configuration baseline management, and requires extensive collaboration with the overall program team.
BasicQualifications
- Experience with military or space mission programs.
- Experience Using DOORS and/or DOORS NG
- Experience with SysML
- Exposure to MBSE tools such as Cameo and Rhapsody
- Prior Experience working with RAPT-2 or other IGNITE programs is highly desirable
- Concept of Operations (Con Ops)
- Design Reference Mission (DRM)
- Mission Success Tree (MST)
- Requirements Engineering
- Verification Cross‑Reference Matrix (VCXM)
- Requirements Verification and Validation
- Strong experience with model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) tools (Cameo, Enterprise Architect).
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
- Systems Thinking - Ability to view the system holistically and understand interdependencies across hardware, software, and operations.
- Detail‑Oriented - Meticulous at maintaining end‑to‑end requirement traceability from stakeholder need through verification evidence.
- Problem Solving

Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
