Responsibilities
ESH member will provide ESH support relating to hazardous waste handling and disposal at the LM Titusville facilities. Will also act as lead ESH Engineer relating to construction activities and safety matters for LM Titusville 4 buildings. Will work in concert with LM Facilities personnel, construction team members, and others as required. Main Safety Point‑of‑Contact for all LM employees and processes in Titusville, which largely supports the Fleet Ballistic Missiles Program.
Entails lockout‑tagout, crane operations, ergonomic employee support, general ESH support, and related safety communications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA and related regulations and experience in ESH subject areas, particularly industrial safety, lockout‑tagout, confined spaces, crane operations, material handling equipment and emergency response.
- Reporting and permitting of hazardous materials management and hazardous waste compliance.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 1 year or more relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, candidates with 10 years ESH experience are also considered.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Large experience with environmental programs such as chemical and hazardous waste management.
- Bachelor’s degree in an ES&H related field.
- Experience reviewing drawings and engineering change requests.
- Experience with medical programs required by OSHA and the Range (e.g., SCAPE, respiratory, material handler, DOT, hearing conservation).
- Prior experience working with internal and external customers, including supporting associate contractors.
- Background knowledge in propellant and ordnance operations.
- Experience with OSHA programs such as lockout‑tagout, electrical, respiratory protection, fall protection, hazard communication, aerial work platforms, crane operations, accident investigation, recordkeeping, lead and asbestos, etc.
- Environmental management system experience.
- Ergonomic related training/knowledge.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
