System Integration​/Manufacturing Engineer

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at the STAR Center Titusville, Florida to plan and author procedures for the Orion Spacecraft Elements Team and provide floor support for a Thermal Protection Systems, mechanical, and electrical environment.

• Create and develop manufacturing work instructions.
• Determine the sequence of build, select or design required tools, and solve production problems during the build of mechanical/electrical parts and assemblies.
• Assist in investigating design and manufacturing factors such as equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and large assembly management.
• Develop and maintain all assembly documentation.
• Troubleshoot and correct anomalies and discrepancies in hardware.
• Perform producibility reviews on engineering designs and drawings to assess manufacturability, ease of assembly, and material availability.
• Interface routinely with program personnel and report project status to leadership.
• Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shift as needed during surge support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• Experience in reviewing engineering drawings and acting as a floor liaison.
• Experience and understanding of configuration management practices and databases such as Windchill or EPDM.
• Willingness and ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as needed during production surge.
• Experience with SAP (VE-CAMS) or similar software for generating manufacturing work instructions and engineering/manufacturing bill of materials.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and reports; ability to write reports and keep accurate documentation.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems tools such as the Automation Framework or EPDM.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Creo Parametric, Creo View, EdgeCAM, or Delmia.
• Experience with structural, electrical, avionics, and mechanism installations.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• CNC knowledge.
• Knowledge of production manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience in a test and requirements verification environment.
• Experience in Space Vehicle (SV) Test Operations, including test development, execution, data analysis, and anomaly resolution.
• Ability to maintain process discipline in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated desire to grow and seek new challenges.
• Basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors.
• Experience in Assembly or Test operations.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills, with experience writing system-level test plans, procedures, and information sheets.
