Job Title: Electrical Component Engineer
Location: Littleton, CO
Responsibilities- Lead or assist in electrical component (parts) engineering and execution of the program electrical electronic electromechanical (EEE) parts management plan.
- Participate in EEE parts engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture, and test.
- Participate in selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEE parts.
- Prepare technical and progress reports, specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test reports.
- Coordinate with design engineering, manufacturing, quality engineering, and procurement/supply chain disciplines.
- Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.
- Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure component selections meet quality expectations and performance requirements.
- Experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, and operation of devices such as relays, hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, and capacitors.
- Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEE parts.
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams.
- Willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; US citizenship required.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics, or related field.
- Familiarity with technical requirements and program plans/requirements.
- Experience participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR.
- Basic understanding of nuclear effects on EEE parts and ability to work closely with survivability engineers in strategic rad‑hard applications.
- Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
- Basic understanding of worst‑case analysis (WCA), EEE part derating, and end‑of‑life requirements.
- Ability to evaluate current and developing technologies for EEE parts in complex design packages.
- Experience with failure analysis, destructive physical analysis, or root‑cause and corrective action analysis related to EEE parts.
- Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements, program plans/requirements.
- Active or current Secret clearance or higher.
Security Clearance: This position requires a Government security clearance; a Secret clearance is required. US citizenship is required for consideration.
Other Important Information:
The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The work schedule is 9x80 with every other Friday off. Relocation is possible.
