Position Introduction / Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft as a part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Key Duties- Provide engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.
- Work with customers and management to obtain approval.
- Lead project execution to complete the work statement.
- Identify performance metrics.
- Plan, identify, and coordinate resources required over the life of the project or program.
- Define plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.
- Compare actual results to the baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned.
- Provide technical and integration leadership for the development and execution of the project or team plans.
- Support spacecraft test engineering efforts, troubleshooting, and optimizing system performance.
- Due to facility requirements, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- This is a sensitive/safety‑sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ‑compliant driver's license or state‑issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your Real ‑compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state .
- 5 or more years of related project/system engineering experience
- Possesses strong troubleshooting capabilities required to document and resolve non‑conformances on both ground support equipment and flight hardware.
- Experience reviewing test plans and reports.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study.
- Experience with space systems.
- Experience working on a NASA manned space program.
