POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is for an Electronics Engineer IV, Avionics performing engineering functions in support of the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension program and associated systems. The position focuses on senior-level avionics electronics engineering, supporting the design, development, integration, and sustainment of complex missile and launch-related electronic hardware. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform senior-level electronics engineering tasks supporting FBM D5 Life Extension avionics and related systems. Support design, analysis, integration, and troubleshooting of complex avionics electronic hardware for missile and launch applications. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, develop solutions, and ensure system performance and reliability. Participate in technical reviews, documentation, and presentations for program stakeholders and leadership. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on avionics electronics topics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS –

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Significant professional experience in avionics or complex electronics engineering (senior-level). Experience supporting design, analysis, and/or integration of electronic hardware in defense, aerospace, or missile systems. Ability to work onsite in Titusville, FL in support of Navy FBM D5 Life Extension activities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with missile, launch vehicle, or naval weapons system avionics. Experience working in a structured engineering environment with formal reviews and configuration control. Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems.
