Palm Point Behavioral Health is recruiting for a Per-Diem Housekeeper.
Palm Point Behavioral Health is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital located in Titusville, Florida minutes from Cape Canaveral. Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point Behavioral Health offers inpatient treatment options and serves communities in Brevard County and beyond.
Titusville, located on Florida’s Space Coast, is approximately 30 miles north of historic Cocoa Beach, and 40 miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks. In Titusville, you can tour the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. Not only do you have the abundance of activities along the Atlantic shore, but Titusville also offers an ideal climate, close proximity to multiple dining and shopping options, and a very friendly community.
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting various areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, waiting rooms, restrooms, cafeteria, break rooms, offices and other spaces.
Hospital housekeepers are responsible for the following:
- Cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, and public areas, including dusting, vacuuming and washing windows
- Disinfecting surfaces and equipment, using appropriate cleaning agents, and following infection control protocols
- Changing bed linens
- Maintaining an infection-free environment throughout the hospital
- Utilizing approved cleaning solutions for proper disinfection
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar position preferred, but not required.
