Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry required.

Experience with a patient ratio of 1:6 required.
Required to float within the scope of practice.

License:
Must have an active RN license.

Certifications:

ACLS and BCLS certification required.
NIHSS certification required or must be willing to obtain prior to start date.

Must-Have:
Experience in mixed unit high acuity.
Rapid response team experience is required.

Experience with total joint procedures is required.
Availability to work mandatory shifts for clinical orientation week is required.
No block scheduling allowed.
No time off during the first or last week of the assignment.

Description:

This position involves working in a mixed unit that includes Med-Surg and Telemetry patients.
The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses.
Floating to other units within the scope of practice may be required.
Working with COVID-positive patients is expected.
Strong assessment skills and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias are essential.
Experience managing cardiac drips without titration is preferred.
The nurse will be responsible for patient monitoring, administering blood products, and managing IVs.
Wound care and isolation precautions experience are required.
