JOB SUMMARYThe CMM Operator/Quality Inspector will use various inspection methods and tools to ensure product and process compliance with customer, company, and regulatory standards, including AS9100 requirements.
Shift
Hours:
6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Friday to Sunday
- First Article Inspections and the overall conformity of our products.
- Assures customer satisfaction by measuring product conformity to Customer Specifications and Engineering Drawings.
- Upholds Prince’s Core Values and our AS9100 D Quality Management System.
- Process inspections utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines and all inspection hand gauging including but not limited to, micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, calipers, height gauges, etc.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures and complying with all applicable regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Robust knowledge of GD&T, blueprint, and spec interpretation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating/programming CMM.
- Fundamental mechanical and mathematical inspection knowledge.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to perform all the Mechanical Quality Inspection responsibilities.
- AS9100 D Quality Management System – Trained.
- Geometric Characteristic, GD&T - Trained.
- 5 years’ experience in precision aerospace CNC machined products.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Work Environment Requirements
- Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
- Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
- Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
