Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse – Titusville, FL

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week Med/Surg Tele/PCU assignment in Titusville, FL. Active FL or Compact RN license and telemetry experience required. Join a high-acuity acute care team on Florida's Space Coast!

• Location: Titusville, FL 32796 (Space Coast; near Kennedy Space Center)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel assignment (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Job Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN – Acute Care Hospital
• Setting: Mixed Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele RN) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 (experience with 1:6 ratios required)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within scope
• Orientation: Mandatory 5 shifts (36–40 hours) clinical orientation week
• Charting / EHR: Meditech (experience preferred)
• Scrub Color: Any
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1280–$1350

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele RN (Registered Nurse) experience in acute care
• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (in hand)
• Telemetry nursing experience required (Telemetry Nurse / Med/Surg Tele RN)
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Experience with Rapid Response team and post-surgical total joint patient care
• Comfort managing cardiac drips (no titration) and responding to dysrhythmias
• Adult and geriatric patient care experience required
• Must be able to float to other units within scope as needed
• Must live more than 30 miles from facility (no local travelers)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete required online modules (~4 hours) prior to start

• Provide high-quality nursing care as a Registered Nurse (RN) to adult and geriatric patients in a mixed Med/Surg Telemetry and PCU unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry; identify and respond to dysrhythmias and cardiac events
• Manage cardiac drips per facility policy (no titration) and participate in Rapid Response activations
• Care for post-operative total joint patients and other Med/Surg/PCU patient populations
• Float to other units within scope as staffing needs require
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and physicians
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech (EHR)
• Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
• Complete mandatory orientation, competency checks, and required training modules
• Work scheduled weekends and holidays according to assignment guidelines
