Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse Per Diem

Overview

Titusville Center for Surgical Excellence is hiring a Per Diem Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse. The Pre Op/PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, evaluating the patient’s condition continuously, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy. The RN may assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques. Post‑operation, the RN delivers comprehensive care to patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family prior to discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
