LPN - Per Diem

Responsibilities

Palm Point is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team! The Licensed Practical Nurse provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering medications, and collecting specimens. The LPN administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor, monitors and reports changes in patients’ conditions, and ensures the health, comfort, and safety of patients.

Palm Point Behavioral Health (affiliated with Universal Health Services) is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital located in Titusville, Florida minutes from Cape Canaveral. Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point behavioral health offers inpatient treatment options and serves communities in Brevard County and beyond.

Requirements:

• Diploma in practical nursing from a technical school, community college or hospital.
• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of Florida.
• Knowledge of current nursing procedures, the nursing process, medications, and their correct administration.
• One year experience as a Practical Nurse with 6 months in psychiatric nursing preferred.
