Road Mechanic; CDL

Responsibilities

• Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, trucks and/or other heavy equipment
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations
• Regular attendance is required
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations

• Must have a CDL Class B or higher
• Must have acceptable MVR
• Must have 3-5 years experience in diesel engines and hydraulic systems
• Must be willing to travel
• Must have own tools
• Physical activities include: walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing, etc.
• Must work in a neat, orderly and safe manner
• Should have specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment, including diesel engine systems diagnostics to ensure equipment is operating appropriately
