About The Role

Blue Origin is developing reusable, safe, low‑cost space vehicles. This role is part of Operations & Launch Site Execution, supporting delivery of reliable ground systems, electrical systems, and instrumentation for launch and test operations. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and control systems that support critical launch and test operations.

• Install, commission, and maintain instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for launch facilities.

• Interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Troubleshoot PLCs and instrumentation such as valve positioners, thermocouples, pressure transducers, and general electronics.

• Maintain high‑hazard facilities, ensuring compliance with NEC, UL 508A and hazardous location standards.

• Work at moderate heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and use hand tools safely.

• Participate actively in pre‑job planning, layout, and team collaboration.

• ≥5 years of instrumentation experience in aerospace, industrial, or oil & gas environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret and follow electrical diagrams and schematics
• Mechanical proficiency and adherence to safe work practices
• Experience with 24 VDC control circuits, 4–20 mA loops, 120 V/208 V/480 V systems
• Experience with valve positioners, thermocouples, pressure transducers, and PLCs
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at moderate heights

• ≥7 years of experience with launch pad, test stand, or high‑hazard facility systems
• Knowledge of propellants, hazardous locations/classification, NEC, UL 508A
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, telescopic boom lifts
• Associate degree in electronics, instrumentation, or related field
• Journeyman Electrical License
