Randall Construction is seeking a top-tier Mini Excavator / Machine Operator to join our team to work on large, commercial Plumbing and Mechanical projects along the Space Coast of Florida.
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $32.00

PositionSummary
The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently operate mini excavators and related heavy equipment on large-scale commercial plumbing and utility projects. This position plays a critical role in trenching, excavation, site preparation, and underground utility installation. Essential Functions- Operate mini excavators and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading, back filling, and site preparation for plumbing and utility installations.
- Assist crews with installation of underground water, sewer, storm drain, and utility systems.
- Read and interpret site plans, utility markings, grades, and project specifications.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and project safety requirements.
- Work closely with foremen, project managers, and field crews to maintain production schedules.
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with labor duties as needed when equipment operation is not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating mini excavators in commercial construction, utility, or plumbing projects.
- Experience working around underground utilities and trenching operations.
- Ability to read construction plans and site layouts.
- Strong understanding of excavation safety and trench protection requirements.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
