For more than 40 years, Sakonnet Early Learning Center has provided children with a safe, nurturing place to learn, play, build confidence, and prepare for their next big step. We're currently looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Pre-K Teacher to join our team in Tiverton.

Whether you're an experienced early childhood educator or have worked with children in a preschool, childcare center, after-school program, summer camp, recreation program, or similar setting, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Do

As a Pre-K Teacher, you'll help our 4- and 5-year-olds learn through hands-on experiences, creativity, exploration, and play.

Your day may include:

• Creating fun, engaging learning activities
• Supporting early literacy, math, science, and STEAM skills
• Helping children build independence and confidence
• Encouraging positive behavior and social-emotional development
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Building positive relationships with children and families
• Working alongside a supportive early childhood education team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is patient, dependable, positive, and genuinely enjoys helping young children learn and grow.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience working with children preferred
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus — but not required
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Ability to meet required background screening requirements
