School Bus Driver

Part Time School Bus Driver – Tiverton, RI

As a Part Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community by safely transporting students to and from school, activities, and special events. This position starts with morning pickups and afternoon drop‑offs, with additional hours for field trips and special events.

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops.
• Assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.

• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of continuous driving history.
• No prior school bus driving experience required; training provided.
• Looking for a part‑time schedule with summers off.
• Ability to work weekday morning and afternoon shifts only.
• Drug‑testing compliant (DOT regulated).

• Hourly Rate: $25.89 – $29.12 per hour (effective Aug
  12026: rate increases to $29.10 per hour).
• Training Rate: $16.00 per hour.
