High School Mathematics Teacher

The High School Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned to state standards, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic growth of all students. The teacher will plan engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices.

• Plan and deliver standards-based mathematics instruction for high school students
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor and support student progress
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement
• Integrate instructional technology and data-driven practices into lessons
• Collaborate with PLCs, administrators, and support staff
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
• Participate in professional learning and ongoing curriculum development

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Education
• Valid state teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics

Preferred:

• Experience teaching high school mathematics (Algebra I–IV, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, or Statistics)
• Strong classroom management and instructional design skills
• Experience using educational technology and learning management systems

• Strong content knowledge in secondary mathematics
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional growth
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
