Overview
A leading plastics manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee night shift manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and team performance while ensuring production goals and KPI targets are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience within manufacturing environments, along with experience utilizing Microsoft Excel for KPI reporting, production tracking, and data analysis.
Responsibilities- Supervise and lead production personnel during assigned night shift operations
- Ensure safety, quality, and production objectives are consistently met
- Monitor manufacturing performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Track and report KPIs related to productivity, scrap, downtime, efficiency, and labor utilization
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting, data analysis, scripting, and production metrics tracking
- Coordinate workflow and troubleshoot operational issues within the production environment
- Train, coach, and develop manufacturing employees
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to resolve production challenges
- Conduct shift handoff reporting and maintain accurate production documentation
- Promote a positive and accountable team culture
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience within manufacturing
- Experience with in plastics manufacturing preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience including KPI reporting, formulas, scripting/macros, and data analysis
- Experience managing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze production data and drive operational improvements
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Background within extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, or plastics production
- Associate degree or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience
