Family Pastor
Principle Function:
Responsible to the Senior Pastor for the development and execution of a comprehensive program for young families. This ministry includes children, youth, college‑aged, and their parents. Consult with other staff and volunteers concerning activities in this area.

Ministry Requirements And Responsibilities- Develop a vision for reaching and retaining young families.
- Consult with church leaders in planning, conducting, and evaluating a young family ministry.
- Enlist volunteers.
- Advise on the use of program materials, equipment, supplies, and space required to carry out ministry.
- Assist with the planning and conducting of special projects, such as camps, retreats, fellowships, and visitation.
- Coordinate outreach. Lead staff and volunteers to contact, visit, and minister to prospects and absentees.
- Propose a budget for the development and improvement of this ministry. Appropriately administer budgeted funds when approved and available.
- Teach during weekly services and preach on occasions given by the Senior Pastor.
- Provide regular ministry updates in deacon meetings and church conference.
- Serve as a member of the Church Council.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
- Meet the qualifications for a pastor listed in First Epistle to Timothy 3:1–7 and Epistle to Titus 1:5–9.
- Affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, as well as the Carnes Creek Baptist Church Statement of Faith and By‑laws.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to King Jesus and the advancement of His Kingdom.
- Demonstrate a clear calling to pastoral ministry, specifically in family ministry.
- Show spiritual maturity, humility, and the ability to shepherd families relationally and biblically.
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. A ministry degree is not required but is preferred.
- Be willing to become a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church and serve as a committed team player.
- Be willing to submit to a background check.
