Finance Manager / Site Controller – U.S. Operations
We’re partnering with a financially strong, privately held European manufacturing group to hire a Finance Manager / Site Controller for its established U.S. site in Toledo, Ohio (≈50 employees). The site operates in precision manufacturing/tooling and serves demanding industrial customers across North America.
In this high-impact role, you own the full finance agenda for the U.S. operations: P&L, monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, and manufacturing cost accounting. You’ll work hands‑on in the business, lead a small local team, and be the key interface to the European HQ on reporting, planning, and governance topics.
You’ll also coordinate light HR activities at site level (payroll/benefits, onboarding, documentation) together with internal and external partners – without carrying a full HR leadership workload. Your work will be central to increasing transparency, strengthening controls, and building scalable structures for the next stage of growth.
What you bring- 7+ years in Finance/Controlling/Accounting, ideally in manufacturing
- End-to-end ownership of close, forecast, reporting, cash flow and working capital
- Strong experience in cost accounting (job/project costing, margin & variance analysis)
- Experience with international group reporting or an overseas HQ is a plus
- Hands‑on, structured, and confident in communicating across U.S. and European teams
- Full responsibility for U.S. finance in a growing, mid‑sized manufacturing environment
