Payroll Administrator

Marvin is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support our manufacturing operations in Warroad, MN. In this role, you will process accurate, timely biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple shifts, maintain timekeeping and HRIS data, and ensure compliance with wage, hour, and payroll tax regulations. You'll reconcile payroll with the general ledger, administer deductions and benefits, support audits and year-end reporting, and respond to employee inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in a multi-shift manufacturing environment
• Maintain accurate employee records, timekeeping, and earnings/deductions in HRIS and payroll systems
• Reconcile payroll data with general ledger and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage, hour, and payroll tax regulations
• Prepare and file payroll tax reports and support year-end processes including W-2s
• Administer payroll-related benefits, garnishments, and retirement contributions
• Generate regular and ad hoc payroll reports for Finance and HR leadership
• Support audits and internal controls, maintaining thorough documentation and confidentiality
• Partner with HR, Finance, and plant leadership to improve payroll processes and accuracy
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with a customer-focused, problem-solving approach
