Accounting Manager

BEST ONE TIRE&SERVICE seeks an Accounting Manager to lead financial operations for its multi-location retail tire and service network. In this role, you'll oversee general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, and month-end close while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. You'll analyze store performance, prepare financial reports, and support strategic decisions for leadership. Supervising a small accounting team, you'll drive process improvements and partner closely with operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger for multiple retail service locations
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support operational decision-making
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes and account reconciliations
• Supervise and develop accounting staff through coaching, feedback, and training
• Partner with operations leaders to track store performance and profitability
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax preparers, and banking partners
• Implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Support leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
