Operates clinic switchboard, provides routine information, and directs calls to appropriate departments.
Works under the supervision of the Patient Services Manager.
- Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
- Answers phone lines in a polite and friendly manner.
- Transfers incoming calls to appropriate departments for main campus.
- Communicates general clinic information to general public.
- Responds to emergency calls according to established procedures.
- Uses paging system according to procedure
- Assists in the collection of data related to the operation of the switchboard area.
- Maintains flexibility of work schedule to cover absences.
- Signs for incoming packages, if necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.
- Completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Knowledge of current communication system or equivalent system.
- Ability to speak clearly and concisely with a pleasant voice.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to all clinic policies and procedure.
