Radiology Medical Receptionist

Position: RADIOLOGY MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST - FULL TIME
General

Summary:

Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Example of Essential Duties:

* Greeting patients - courteously and professionally.

* Verifying / update insurance information.

* Collecting co- pays.

* Verifying and releasing of patient orders.

* Answering phones - courteously and professionally.

* Scheduling appointments, lab tests, etc.

* Answering general patient questions.

* Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.

* Forwards charge tickets to data entry.

Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):

* Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.

* Assorted file room duties.

* Assist daytime medical receptionist when necessary.

* Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

* Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required.

* Excellent organizational skills required.

* Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.

* Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.

* Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

* Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.

Education:

* HS diploma or GED.

Preferred:

* Previous clerical experience in a Drs. Office and previous experience in billing preferred.
