Position Summary
We are partnered with a well‑established heavy civil contractor recognized throughout Ohio and the Midwest for delivering complex infrastructure projects, including bridge construction, structural repairs, highway systems, and major transportation improvements. With a strong commitment to safety, technical excellence, and innovation, the company is expanding its field leadership team and seeking an experienced Bridge/Highway Superintendent to provide on‑site oversight for structural and bridge‑focused civil projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily field operations and supervise all construction activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, equipment, and internal crews to ensure efficient workflow.
- Enforce all safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules, adjusting field operations as necessary.
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets contract specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients to resolve field issues.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and field documentation.
- Support project startup, erection planning, structural staging, and project closeout.
- Mentor and develop foremen and field staff to strengthen overall team performance.
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in bridge, structural, highway/road or heavy civil construction.
- Strong background in structural concrete, steel bridge erection, formwork systems, and transportation infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage field teams and subcontractors on large, multi‑million‑dollar projects.
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings, structural plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with field management tools and software (e.g., Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam).
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally.
