The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is currently seeking a Full
- Time Construction Maintenance Engineer to join the Construction and Planning Department. Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for multiple mid to large size capital projects and various repair and maintenance projects for the Toledo Zoo ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, ordinances, and procedures. Working cohesively with all other members of the construction management team, the Construction Maintenance Engineer helps manage, prepare, and distribute correspondence for all processes of the construction document process for each project.

This includes bidding, contract management, RFI's, submittals, as-built drawing management, as well as coordination of onsite work as needed. This individual will also assist the Construction Team with any day-to-day activities that are necessary to keep the project flowing.

The Construction Maintenance Engineer reports to the Vice President of Construction and Planning, is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and requires time worked in excess of forty hours per week.

Minimum Training & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field and two year experience in construction estimating/management, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and abilities are required.
• Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, with concentration on Word, Excel, and Outlook and PDF editor required.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must possess a valid drivers' license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
