Description: The Visitor Services Associate serves as a frontline ambassador for Imagination Station Toledo, creating welcoming, engaging, and memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. Go retail shop — and play a vital role in making science accessible and exciting for people of all ages and backgrounds.

• Greet and welcome all visitors with enthusiasm and a guest‑first mindset
• Respond to visitor questions and needs with accuracy, warmth, and patience
• Process admissions transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, including cash handling, credit card processing, and membership verification
• Sell and promote memberships, communicating the value and benefits to prospective members
• Maintain accurate records and follow cash‑handling procedures in compliance with organizational policies
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned
• Maintain gift shop appearance, including restocking, merchandising, and inventory organization
• Process retail transactions accurately and support loss prevention practices
• Communicate effectively with team members, volunteers, and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations
• Follow all safety protocols and respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Support an inclusive environment by demonstrating sensitivity to visitors of all abilities, backgrounds, and identities

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with people of all ages
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑energy, public‑facing environment
• Reliable, punctual, and detail‑oriented
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or informal education settings
• Basic cash handling and POS experience

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time typically up to 6 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to kneel or bend over as required for stocking inventory
