Toledo Dental Team is looking for a full-time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing practice.

What You’ll Do- Assisting the doctor during a variety of dental procedures
- Placing restorations and performing EFDA duties within your licensed scope of practice
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures
- Supporting efficient patient flow and helping the clinical team stay on schedule
- Taking necessary records, radiographs, impressions, or scans as needed and permitted by training/certification
- Educating patients on treatment, post‑op instructions, and oral health recommendations
- Helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for from start to finish
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Following infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety standards
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining clean, organized clinical spaces
- Communicating clearly with doctors, hygienists, assistants, front office team members, and leadership
- Supporting inventory awareness and helping ensure clinical supplies are ready when needed
- Jumping in where needed to support the team and the patient experience
- Current EFDA certification/licensure in Ohio
- Dental assisting experience
- Radiology certification, if applicable
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- A positive, professional, and service-oriented attitude
- The ability to stay organized in a busy clinical environment
- Strong communication skills with patients and team members
