Prekindergarten Associate – ESC of Lake Erie West (Lake Erie West Educational Service Center).

Hourly, commensurate with experience and education.

Dedicated School Staffing, in partnership with ESCLEW, provides special education resources and support across Lucas County. The Prekindergarten Associate will work under Early Childhood Coordinators and the site-based Early Childhood Intervention Specialist to deliver the general education curriculum to children through direct and co‑instruction.

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university.
• Ohio State Board of Education License for Prekindergarten.
• Previous experience working with children aged 3‑5 in an inclusive program (preferred).
• Clean criminal background.
• Three (3) positive professional references.

• Deliver the general education curriculum (play, small group projects, open‑ended questioning, group discussion, problem solving, cooperative learning, inquiry experience) across contexts (indoor, outdoor, home‑based).
• Assist the Early Childhood Intervention Specialist in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Assist in implementation of the social‑emotional curriculum, practices and procedures.
• Assist with documentation, student growth assessment, and data collection.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit required reports on time.
• Support daily student activities (toileting, snack, handwashing, bus loading/unloading).
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with classroom maintenance.
• Maintain a safe classroom environment and report safety concerns.

• Stand, move, and sit at a desk; move between work sites.
• Stoop, kneel, or crouch to assist students.
• Occasionally lift or move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Communicate with stakeholders by talking and listening.
• Operate a computer and other technology devices.
• Read and analyze data with close visual acuity.
