Essential Functions
- Teaches assigned topics as scheduled.
- Consider individual differences of students and designs appropriate learning activities.
- Identifies students with academic or other needs and provides appropriate resources.
- Uses technology appropriately and explains expectations to students.
- Maintains accurate records per departmental policies.
- Communicates progress and feedback to students throughout the semester.
- Follows syllabi incorporating departmental, college, cross‑college, and instructor requirements.
- Attends clinic sections punctually per meeting schedule.
- Employs appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance.
- Participates in periodic meetings with the department, Lead Instructor, and Chairperson regarding teaching duties and professional development.
Creates a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active and collaborative learning, student effort, academic challenge, faculty interaction, and support for learners.
Uses technology to assist with student communication and encourages a sense of community inside and outside the classroom.
Refers students to campus and community support services.
Culture of RespectFosters a safe environment of respect for faculty, staff, students, and community members.
Knowledge- Clinical and/or online instruction in the discipline.
- Knowledge of current trends in dentistry and ability to provide high-quality instruction.

- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry, or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from a CODA accredited dental school.
