Position Overview
Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Clinical Teaching Assistant – Nursing (part‑time). The adjunct faculty member works under the direction of full‑time faculty to plan, direct, instruct, and evaluate the learning experiences of nursing students in clinical settings.
Responsibilities- Plan, direct, instruct, and evaluate student learning experiences in clinical laboratories under faculty direction
- Communicate with full‑time faculty regarding student performance and provide evaluations
- Communicate student learning outcomes and course goals to healthcare agency personnel
- Collaborate with healthcare agency staff to create opportunities for critical and reflective thinking and decision making
- Attend Nursing Clinical Faculty meetings and follow program policies
- Maintain student schedules, rotation forms, and timely submission of evaluations
- Serve as a role model with professional demeanor, ethical behavior, personal accountability, and strong work ethic
- Meet and maintain agency requirements for orientation and facilitate student orientation
- Identify individual learning styles and develop appropriate strategies using educational theory and evidence‑based practice
- Communicate educational course goals and outcomes to nursing agency personnel
- Use extreme tact in front of patients and demonstrate caring, confidence, compassion, flexibility, and integrity
- Collaborate with full‑time faculty to provide optimal conditions for student success
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio, current and unencumbered
- Minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse
- Ability to make quick decisions, multi‑task, and provide safe patient care
- Strong communication skills with clinical agency staff and college personnel
- Demonstrated ability to foster critical reasoning, reflective thinking, and student advocacy
Hourly, period activity pay. Federal, state, and local taxes withheld.
