Position Title:

** Instructor, Early Childhood Education##

* Job Description:

** This position will teach undergraduate Early Childhood Education and general education courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats using effective instructional strategies and technology
** Essential Functions
*** Article 7 of the Owens Faculty Association Contract
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*** Strong written, oral, interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and the ability to integrate multiple teaching methodologies.
* Understanding of the needs of community college students.
* Ability to organize and present instructional material effectively.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Blackboard Ultra, Owens email, and related instructional technologies.
* Ability to recognize student strengths and areas for growth and provide feedback that supports learning and student success.
** Minimum Requirements
*** Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
* Minimum of one (1) term of teaching experience, including experience developing lesson plans and assessments.
* Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in early childhood education settings.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Community college teaching experience, including online and hybrid instruction.
* Knowledge of NAEYC standards, accreditation, curriculum assessment, and program evaluation.
* Familiarity with Ohio early childhood licensing requirements and early learning initiatives.
* Experience supervising practicum or field experiences and supporting adult, nontraditional, and workforce-based learners.
