Assistant Dean COMLS Office of Student Affairs

The University of Toledo is hiring an Assistant Dean for the College of Medicine and Life Sciences Office of Student Affairs. This role involves leading the Office of Student Affairs by advising approximately 700 medical students, providing career counseling, overseeing student performance evaluations, organizing orientations, and participating in various committees and student honor societies within the MD program.

• Provide senior leadership across the Health Science Campus and University.
• Advise around 700 medical students on academics and career planning.
• Support medical specialty decision-making, CV and personal statement guidance, program selection, and interview skills.
• Conduct Medical Student Performance Evaluations for senior students.
• Organize orientation for incoming medical students.
• Co‑advise student organizations including Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha.
• Participate in Medical Student Awards and Graduation Committees.
• Oversee summer internship and preceptorship programs.
• Require M.D./D.O. or Ph.D. degree and higher education administrative experience with students.
• Demonstrate knowledge of higher education practices and procedures.
