Position: Assistant Dean For COMLS Office Of Student Affairs - 501122

Job Description

The Assistant Dean provides senior leadership for the Health Science Campus and the University as a whole across a broad spectrum of responsibilities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Academic Advisor for ~700 medical students
Career Counseling and Advising, including Medical Specialty Decision-Making, Curriculum Vitae and Personal Statement Guidance and Review, Program Selection, and Interviewing Skills
Medical Student Performance Evaluations for senior medical students
Orientation for incoming medical students
Co-Advisor, Gold Humanism Honor Society
Co-Advisor, Alpha Omega Alpha
Medical Student Awards Committee
Graduation Committee
Summer Internship/Preceptorship Programs

Minimum Qualifications

M.D./D.O. or Ph.D. degree required
Recent higher education administrative experience working with students
Knowledge of higher education and its practices and procedures
