Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Lab Assistant, Radiography
Job SummaryThe Radiography Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for conducting classes in the lab setting, visiting students in the clinical setting, providing remediation to students, and maintaining communication with the faculty and program director.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of the radiography program goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of the course material as presented in the Bontrager text.
- Knowledge of procedures, protocols and practices relating to radiography.
- Capable of manipulating imaging equipment and accessories to produce diagnostic images.
- Capable of working effectively with students.
- Ability to be organized, punctual and professional.
- Effectively communicates with students and peers.
- Provides supervision and remediation to enrolled students in the clinical and radiography lab setting.
- Evaluates student progress and communicates such with the program faculty.
- Monitors the lab facilities to ensure student compliance with department procedures.
- Maintains the lab facilities regarding organization, cleanliness, supplies, etc.
- Completes projects that support the Medical Imaging Department as assigned by the chair.
- Approaches students, peer faculty and others with a positive attitude.
- Accepts responsibility.
- Pays attention to detail.
- Sets a professional example.
- Fosters a trusting learning environment.
- Strives to remain current in the imaging discipline.
- Exceeds expectations.
- Associate degree or two-year technical certificate.
- Documents the equivalent of two years full-time clinical experience in radiography.
- Bachelor’s degree in a closely-related health field preferred.
