THE UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO COLLEGE OF LAW is seeking to hire a grant funded
Director of the Rural Practice Clinic. This is a 9-month, non-tenure-track position within the
College of Law with an anticipated start date in the Fall of 2026. This position will oversee all
matters of the Rural Practice Clinic, including but not limited to client recruitment and
representation, teaching, supervise Clinical Fellows and support staff, and assist with fundraising
and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a juris doctorate and an Ohio bar license, excellent academic credentials, demonstrated proficiency in general practice, preferably in a rural community, and a commitment to excellence in experiential legal education and community engagement. Ideal candidates demonstrate sound judgement and discretion and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
