This is how you will grow:We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our Production Solutions team. Ideal candidates must have previous experience in the design and engineering of automotive manufacturing conveyor systems.
- Perform design and engineering of conveyor systems for automotive customers
- Perform engineering calculations for stress analysis, load capacity, system integrity, etc.
- Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and other documentation to support manufacturing and procurement
- Check drawings, validate designs, and ensure all deliverables meet project specifications and standards
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, installation and maintenance teams during the project lifecycle
- Other general engineering tasks as needed
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering highly preferred (BSME)
- 5 plus years of experience
- Strong experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor
- Automotive experience needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues related to conveyor design and functionality
