Drafter/Designer Job Description
We are seeking a talented Drafter/Designer to perform structural work using AutoCAD and Autodesk MEP software. This role involves providing services to manufacturers in automotive, steel, food, and other industries. You will gain valuable experience working in an engineering environment and understand the requirements needed to complete a project successfully. You will coordinate with engineers to detail drawings and support the design of vertical buildings.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed drawings for structures and infrastructure, including foundations, slabs, and footings.
- Design structural steel framing and concrete reinforcing layouts (rebar).
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure precision in project specifications and design.
- Support the engineering team in drafting and design activities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk, and Revit software.
- 1-2 years of experience in drafting/designing structural components.
- Strong knowledge of structural design, including mechanical drafting.
- Understanding of basic engineering principles.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Technical Degree in CAD design preferred.
- Industry experience in automotive, steel, or related fields.
Located in Sidney, OH or Toledo OH, the role operates within an office environment, coordinating closely with engineers and managers. This position offers an opportunity to learn and grow under experienced engineers and CAD modelers, enhancing your skillset in a collaborative and dynamic setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
