Responsibilities
Overall responsibilities and duties: within the plant, manage processes and people.
- Ensure that series production meets customer requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement process.
- Ensure plant readiness to launch successful new programs.
- Manage and report key ME indicators.
- Procurement of manufacturing equipment while considering demand, security, quality and environmental protection, and their preservation.
- Equipment and tooling follow‑up.
- Support the engineering change management process.
- Update manufacturing routines and work instructions.
- Keep processes (machines, tools, procedures) at best possible level in compliance with HSE regulations and QCD.
- Build the engineering budget and plant CAPEX; and ensure their application.
- Management of the plant central maintenance.
- Monitor capacity utilization.
- Keep plant lay‑out updated.
- Plan, monitor and coordinate the work of external companies.
- Create and introduce procedures regarding the tasks of this field of responsibility.
- Support problem‑solving initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement in Labor, Quality, Equipment and tooling, Space, and Work conditions.
- Participate in the definition of the production process and selection of machines and tools.
- Define plant layout to support new product launches in line with MIFA.
- Oversee the installation process of new machines and equipment.
- Support production at the start of new processes to ensure a successful SOP (initial samples, run at rate, work instructions).
- Staff, train, coach, assess and develop the plant ME team (direct or dotted line).
- Support and train other networks/functions (PSE, QSE, …).
- Participation in the management of the expertise network (knowledge capitalization).
- Manage ME key indicators (TRS, cycle time, reliability…).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required. Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years in a production area, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering.
Skills and Competencies- Trained in the Faurecia Excellence System and Program Management System.
- Basic financial skills (costing, budgeting, investment).
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to interface with other functions – networking capabilities.
- Strong TPM & PM background required.
- Machine controls (PLC programming) and robotic automation skills.
- Strong technical problem‑solving using machine data and data analytics.
- International mindset.
- English required.
