A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Building Engineering Services team across multiple Midwest offices. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer who enjoys leading projects, mentoring teams, and working across a wide range of commercial and industrial project types.
This position will oversee design efforts, provide technical leadership, conduct QA/QC reviews, and support complex electrical system design from concept through completion.
- Power generation and distribution systems (low to medium voltage)
- Security and access control systems
- Advanced manufacturing facilities

- Warehousing and distribution projects
- Renewable energy related work
- Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) on projects
- Lead QA/QC reviews and coordinate design efforts
- Develop work plans and manage project budgets
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors
- Support business development and proposal efforts
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 12–15+ years of experience designing building electrical systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Michigan preferred depending on office)
- Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70 and IEEE standards
- Experience with Revit, AGI Lighting, and power study software such as SKM, Easy Power, or ETAP
- Background designing electrical power systems including switch gear, transformers, generators, grounding systems, and panel boards
- Experience leading mid-size to large-scale projects
